      Royce & Associates, LLC, Hires Jiyoung Kim as Portfolio Manager

      Royce & Associates, LLC (Royce), investment advisor to The Royce Funds, is pleased to announce a recent addition to its investment staff. Effective June 1, 2009, Jiyoung Kim joined the firm as a Portfolio Manager.

      Jiyoung has 16 years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining Royce, she was the Managing Director, Asian Equities, for JKC Advisors, LLC, (2007-2009). Prior to that, she was the Director of Global Equities at Credit Suisse Group (2003-2007) and a Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst at PIMCO Equity Advisors (1999-2002). She began her investment career as a Research Analyst with Fred Alger Asset Management (1994-1999). Ms. Kim is a graduate of Harvard University.

      The addition of this experienced investment professional brings Royce's investment staff to 25. The firm remains committed to the same investment principles that have served our investors well for more than 35 years.
